Summer Camp 2011
At Golestan, where the only language spoken is Persian, our goal is to teach each child the following qualities: Integrity, curiosity, altruism, dignity, generosity, compassion, confidence, kindness, and community.
This summer, our camp will continue to teach these values in full language immersion with fun activities that will feed their minds, bodies and souls.
Camp begins the week of 6/20 and runs every week through 8/26, except August 1-5, when Golestan is closed. Each week will follow a specific theme, beginning with a broadest view, the Universe, and ending with the microscopic world.
Weekly units:
- Week 1 (June 20): The Universe
- Week 2 (June 27): The Natural World – the history of Earth
- Week 3 (July 5): Ecology
- Week 4 (July 11): Humanity

- Week 6 (July 25): Culture – the meaning and celebration of cultures
- Week 7 (Aug 8): The Animal World
