For those who want their child to be immersed in the Golestan experience full time and beyond the preschool age, or for the families we couldn’t accommodate in past years, we are excited to announce that we are accepting applications for our new school for enrollment in September 2018!

With an English language  K-5 primary school that integrates the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum with our own established pedagogy, we take a larger step in global citizenship by reserving one to two hours per day for immersing students in Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian languages (and potentially others in the future). The primary school celebrates the heritages and cultures of each community, while continuing to build a strong academic foundation in each child. It is a microcosm of the global society we envision for a peaceful future.

The school curriculum integrates research-based best practices in the classroom (both indoors and outdoors) while adapting the International Baccalaureate curriculum to our hands-on, experiential pedagogy.  Our primary school is the place where students nurture their love of learning, their humanity, and their innate sense of justice.  It is a school where every child is a change maker who is empowered to create positive change by being resourceful, kind, innovative, conscious, creative, and engaged.  It is a school where the individual child and the collective community of children are equally valued.

This idyllic space, with a working farm, complex chemistry in cooking class, abstract math in the maker’s lab, and hands-on messy science, feels more like a beautiful home than an institution. It is a place that smells like baked bread, tastes like fresh greens, and sounds like the United Nations.

We are currently forming our wait list for September 2018.  Spots are limited.  To learn more about our primary school admissions process, please click here.
