Preschool Program Enrollment

The Golestan preschool applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.  New students are enrolled as spots become available.  Enrollment for the following year is usually finalized in the preceding spring for a September start, except on the rare occasion that a spot becomes available mid-year.

Applying for Elementary School: Fall 2019

We have a rolling admissions policy.  Applications are accepted any time, but following the schedule below gives your child a higher likelihood of admission in our elementary school.

 

Step 1: Complete an inquiry form.  (Please note this is for the elementary school and not preschool program)

Step 2: Get to know more about the program by reading our catalogue, browsing our website, and attending our parent tours.  Please email info@golestankids.com to schedule a tour.

Step 3Complete application form by 11:59 pm on January 15th. Applications submitted after this date will be accepted and reviewed, but preference will be given to those who apply before January 15th.

  • submit completed application form;
  • submit application fee of $75. Please make checks payable to Golestan and mail to: Golestan   Attention: Admissions, 320 San Carlos Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530
  • submit additional information or photo (optional).

Step 4Submit the following required forms and transcripts:

  • Recommendation form(s) from teacher(s): if your child’s teacher has already filled one out through EBISA they can send us a copy – if not please email us at primary@golestankids.com.
  • Any student evaluations available. If applying for first grade all transcripts from kindergarten.

Step 5Assessment and Parent interview.

Elementary School Tuition Information

Tuition includes two healthy snacks and a warm wholesome lunch prepared in-house every day.  For information on our food, please click here.

Annual tuition for elementary school: $21,890*  

A non-refundable deposit of 10% of annual tuition is due upon enrollment.

Annual materials fee:$450

The balance of tuition and fees are payable:

  • In full by June 1 (for a $190 tuition discount)
  • Monthly, in 11 installments, from May through April (excluding February because this month a deposit to secure the spot for next year will be due)

Tuition assistance:

If you are interested in tuition assistance for your elementary school aged child, you may apply through our partners at School and Student Services (SSS) through NAIS Parents’ Financial Statement, an organization that provides need-based financial aid analysis to private and public schools nationwide, to process applications for tuition assistance.

There is a one time $49 application fee. If you have questions while filling out the SSS form you may contact  800-344-8328 or email sss@solutionsbysss.com.

Golestan School’s code for School and Student Services is 9444.

Please note: In case of divorce or separation, both parents are required to complete the following steps in their entirety.

Golestan Kids admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.  Per the Alameda County licensing board, no student may attend more than 12 hours per week per program in each three month session.
