When the Shelter in Place is lifted, we expect to phase back to operating out of our beautiful campus relatively seamlessly. Our school is uniquely positioned to return to normal operations when the time comes for the following reasons:

  • Large outdoor natural play/learning spaces on nearly 1.5 acres;
  • small classes (10-12 children/class in PreK, 10-18 children in upper grades) and low ratios (2-3 teachers/class);
  • large classrooms with 16ft sliding doors opening each class to its own outdoor garden. This converts indoor spaces to outdoor classrooms with ample fresh air and circulation;
  • many unused spaces and classrooms on our ~18,000 ft2 campus. Half of our space was reserved for future use in anticipation of our elementary school growth in the coming three years; and
  • two dedicated full time staff in charge of cleaning our school facilities.

Preschool Program Admissions

The Golestan preschool applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis.  New students are enrolled as spots become available.  Enrollment for the following year is usually finalized in the preceding spring for a September start, except on the rare occasion that a spot becomes available mid-year.
